7 Years of VDO.AI: Journey and Future Plans

Just some years ago, our small team was celebrating our first video ad. Since then, with over 100 passionate people at VDO.AI, we’re using interactive ad formats with Clickable and QR Code Elements, powering campaigns for Fortune 500 Brands. By consistently putting in the effort, we’ve been acknowledged for our innovation in the Ad Tech space. Building our own AI recommendation mechanism, taking constructive criticism from the publishers, and hustling got us to expand to several global markets.

But before we scaled and succeeded, there was a moment, quiet yet defining, that set it all in motion.

The Moment It All Began

In 2018, the founders, Amitt Sharma and Arjit Sachdeva could foresee what gap we wanted to fill in the advertising: publishers were not able to generate profit from the rapidly growing demand for video content. Drawing on their experience in digital media, they set out to solve this issue by founding VDO.AI under Z1 Tech.

Starting from a small setup in Delhi, the partners expanded and eventually moved to Gurugram, where we built an AI-powered platform designed to maximise publisher’s revenue. This was achieved through displaying targeted, non-intrusive video ads that enhance the user experience. Our innovative approach quickly gained popularity, allowing us to partner with a diverse range of brands and publishers.

Powering Campaigns for Global Brands

As our technology advanced, our goals evolved. Consequently, we quickly discovered that we were working with some of the most recognisable businesses in the world. For example, managing campaigns for companies like KFC, Flipkart, Swiggy, WWE, and many more became pivotal points in our history. Additionally, we partnered with NDTV, Publir, YouWeekly, and many more. These collaborations forced us to adapt our products, grow our solutions, and produce quantifiable outcomes on a worldwide scale. Every campaign has its own set of difficulties, including strict deadlines, high standards, and the requirement for faultless performance. However, our reputation and faith in our capacity to produce at scale increased with each success, establishing VDO.AI as a trusted programmatic video advertising partner for global brands and publishers.

Using Innovation as a Driver, Not Just a Dialogue 

At VDO.AI, AI is the core of our business. We saw right away how revolutionary artificial intelligence could be in digital advertising. To create algorithms that could evaluate context, anticipate user preferences, and present hyper-relevant video advertisements across CTV, OLV and display settings, our engineers put forth endless effort. Our contextual targeting engine is embedded in our versatile ad formats, like VDO+ and VDO MaxView, solutions that have raised the bar for engagement and revenue. We’ve assisted our partners in reaching audiences, via our video stack’s targeting capabilities to establish meaningful connections with them by staying ahead of the curve.
